Our 100% hydrogen batch annealing process provides industry-leading microstructure control, surface integrity, and dimensional consistency for coil and sheet materials used in forming operations. Using a pure hydrogen atmosphere eliminates oxidation and scale, enabling exceptional surface quality and predictable mechanical properties. From coil to part, our metallurgical team manages the entire workflow — from pickling to cold reduction to annealing — to deliver uniform and reproducible performance for your stamping, roll-forming or blanking application.

Spheroidization Annealing

Spheroidization is a specialized form of annealing used to optimize high-carbon and alloy steels for superior formability and machinability. During the process, steel is heated to just below or slightly above its lower critical temperature (Ac₁), held for an extended period, and then cooled slowly. This controlled cycle transforms the steel’s carbides into rounded or “spheroidized” shapes. The result is a softer, more ductile material that resists cracking and tool wear during cold forming, stamping, and machining operations.
