The cut-to-length process involves taking large coils of steel and processing them into predetermined lengths through a series of mechanical operations. Initially, the coil is unwound and fed into a cutting line where it undergoes leveling to eliminate any residual stresses from coiling, ensuring a uniform product. Following this, high-precision shears execute cuts at exact intervals, resulting in sheets or plates with tight tolerances.

Steel Warehouse offers cut-to-length processing capability at many of its facilities, including both domestic and international.
