Temper Passing is performed to improve flatness, minimize the tendency to stretch, strain, and flute. It will also ensure your steel obtains your desired surface texture and mechanical properties. The thickness of the steel is typically reduced by 0.5 percent to 3 percent and can be used to change the gauge and inconsistencies of the steel.
Our Temper Mills are in-line before the leveler and rotary shear. They also include a rotary brush unit.
