Our steel temper passing services involve a process technology used to improve surface appearance and correct incoming shape anomalies.
Temper passing temporarily minimizes the tendency of low carbon non-IF steel to flute or create a surface condition called a “coil break” during bending.
Temper passing is also used to impart surface texture on the strip when the application requires it.
A marginal reduction in gauge can be expected from this process resulting in more uniform gauge control depending on equipment capability.
