Cold-rolled steel is low-carbon hot-rolled steel that has been cleaned of oxide scale and then finished in a specific series of rolling to just over the desired thickness, heated to controlled temperatures, and final rolled to the desired thickness.
This produces steel with close dimensional tolerances and a wide range of controlled surface finishes. Use Cold-rolled steel where thickness tolerances and surface condition are important for light gauge uses.
Steel Warehouse offers a wide range of cold rolled alloy, high carbon, low carbon and high strength low alloy close tolerance strip steel.
We will be glad to help you select the exact grade for your Cold Rolled Steel Sheets & Coils.
