The Portage (IN) branch, opened in 1995, is located in Northwest Indiana, less than a mile from Interstates 80, 90, and 94. Positioned in the heart of U.S. steel-making facilities, Portage processes light gauge carbon steel in support of Midwest stampers, fabricators, and other suppliers to the appliance, office furniture and automotive industries.

With domestic steel mills directly to its east and west as well as harbor-side access to offshore producers, Steel Warehouse Portage utilizes its location to give customers a distinct competitive advantage.

Located on the southern rim of Lake Michigan in the Northwest Indiana steel-making corridor, our site provides flexibility in meeting production schedules along with assurance to customers of total cost value in their production-ready material.
